At our clinic, we regularly do studies on the efficacy of new drugs and treatments in various skin ailments. These studies were funded by the pharmaceutical companies launching the new products in market but now we have a dedicated team with a doctor especially appointed for doing research with international organisations. These studies are done by independent organisations to curtail the chances of bias in the results of the study.

Recently we conducted a double blind study comparing the efficacy of oral gabapentin and topical ketamine cream in postherpetic neuralgia patients which was funded by Apothecaries India Ltd. for a USA based pharmaceutical company. This study concluded in March 2008.

Presently we are doing a comparative study of different trends of dermatological practice in rural and urban setup. For this we have chosen Sirhind as the rural area and Mohali as the urban area. This study will enroll about 2000 cases thousand each from rural and urban area.
